Cool Watercolor Prints Coming in Hot
This past month has sizzled with excitement! Every few days there have been fresh developments to the designs of our kitchen and dining textiles. The Heritage Collection patterns - Shiny Elephants, Song Bird, Free Spirit and Lionheart - received a radical revamp as they were transformed from computer vector drawings, into watercolors vibrating with dimension and texture.

The future has looked sunnier since connecting with a US based, family owned, textile printing company. The quality of their fabric and richness of their prints have been a tall drink of water on a hot summer's day. Incoming fabric swatches have proven that the watercolor medium translates beautifully onto the printed cloth, and the result is a respectful nod to the handmade arts that have always inspired my work.
Shiny Elephants is also proud to partner with a local Houston seamstress. She helps to produce our carefully constructed cocktail napkins, dinner napkins, tea towels, pot holders, and more! Together we have worked to finalize the details - size, stitch, thread, hem, fabric, pattern placement - of these printed textiles to prepare them for your dining spaces.
